A Baffling Bond

I distinctly remember,
How you were!
That silky hair,
Falling on your forehead.
That shaved face,
Making you younger than your age.
That adorable smile,
Catching peoples’ sight.
That oozing perfection,
Getting you all the attention.
That polite voice,
Hiding your aggression by choice.
Oh! That shyness and nicety,
Covering your subtlety.
That unswerving eyes in your scanning act,
Fooling me and all, with your crafted tact!
But you had made my head spun,
When I had first looked,
The English queen got us introduced,
Our scores sent us to the same business school,
And ever since, friendship grew!
That was then and this is now -
We have come a long way;
I don’t know how!
But that was then, and this is now,
So, to friendship, let us take a bow!
Two thousand ten,
I met you,
Two thousand eighteen,
You sometimes make me hate you.
We have lived a lifetime,
In these eight long years,
You have become my lifeline,
A dumpster of my laughter and tears.
I can’t stand you for very long,
But, I miss you when you are gone!
Why so baffling, is this bond?
